False Ceiling
A false ceiling, also known as a dropped or suspended ceiling, is a secondary ceiling installed below the main structural ceiling to enhance aesthetics and functionality.
It is commonly made from materials like gypsum, POP (Plaster of Paris), PVC, wood, or metal, and is supported by a metal or wooden framework. False ceilings are widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial spaces to conceal electrical wiring, ducts, and pipes, while offering easy access for maintenance. They improve insulation, reduce noise, and enhance energy efficiency by lowering the ceiling height and allowing for better lighting distribution. Designers often use false ceilings to incorporate ambient or recessed lighting for a modern, elegant look.
